The Tower Museum Bassingbourn is housed in the original control tower that dates back to the 1930's when the airbase was constructed. One of the first museum's in the country to be housed in an original control tower, the Museum opened in 1974; its aim to educate visitors in the history of this world famous base when the RAF and the USAAF were stationed here.
