In 2008 the Tower Museum was approached by authors Graham Simons and Harry Friedman, to collaborate on the launch of the long-awaited book, ''Memphis Belle - Dispelling The Myths'.
On Aug. 30 2008 the book, which had taken 30 years to research and 3 years to write, was launched.
The book tells the story of the men, the women and an aircraft that has become an all-American icon.
The launch event at the Tower Museum Bassingbourn was a great success.
